PROTEPASTE (Bituminous paste Waterproofing)
Brief Description
PROTEPASTE is a premium, single-component waterproofing solution, formulated with plastic emulsion polymer-modified bitumen. This non-toxic product offers exceptional performance with unique features including high flexibility, crack-bridging capabilities, self-healing properties, and seamless application without joints. Resistant to algae, microorganisms, and salts, PROTEPASTE ensures a durable and reliable waterproof barrier.
Certified for root penetration resistance as per DIN 4062 and designed to withstand groundwater conditions in accordance with DIN 4030, PROTEPASTE provides comprehensive protection for long-lasting performance. Its jointless application creates a continuous watertight membrane ideal for various waterproofing needs.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The subsurface must be clean, solid, free of oils, and released agents. PROTEPASTE can be applied on slightly wet/moist surfaces. The subsurface must be solidly filled and leveled. Projecting seams and the remains of mortar should be removed.
Prior to application of the bituminous paste corners and edges, especially on floors and cantilevered slabs should be removed.

Application
-PROTEPASTE is ready to use, straight from the container.
-Remove any dried material adhering to the edge of the bucket.
-Apply the product on the previously prepared substrate.
-If a reinforcement fabric is required, embed into the first waterproofing layer.
-Do not apply any further sealing layers until the previous layer has hardened sufficiently.
-Protect freshly coated surfaces from rain, direct sunlight, frost and condensation.
-Protect dry sealant from mechanical damage and UV radiation.
–Application rate: 1 lit/sqm per mm of thickness. The consumption figures indicated are for a seamless film on a flat surface and may vary if applied on uneven substrates.
Substrate preparation
Remove projecting seams and mortar remains.
Even-surfaced, mineral substrate.
Clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.
Prepare concrete substrates at wall/base transition areas by means of mechanical material removal.
Matt damp surfaces are permitted. If necessary, provide damp proofing.
Directions
-The product is ready to use directly from the container.
-Use PROTEPASTE directly from container without stirring.
-Remove dried material adhering to the edge of the bucket.
-Apply the material to the prepared substrate in two layers in accordance with the applicable regulations.
-If necessary, embed reinforcement fabric into the first waterproofing layer.
Tips on use
When using liquid waterproofing materials, exposure to direct sunlight and/or wind can accelerate skin formation and cause blistering.
Once the previous layer has set sufficiently, apply further waterproofing layers.
Protect the dry waterproofing from mechanical damage and UV radiation.
